High concentrations of Total Suspended Solids (TSS) in the aeration tank Secondary Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) were found to be related increased levels nitrate and nitrite-N because nitrification denitrification processes under reduced oxygen conditions at mesophilic temperature. This issue was triggered due transfer residual ammoniacal-N from Extended Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB) reactor through effluent water. Under low conditions, more supply facilitated nitrification, thus converting nitrite into by Nitrobacter. Almost 90 % reduction TSS disposal water @ 36-37 ᵒC field conditions. However, case high NO3-N, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) are recommended enhance presence Nitrosomonas such a manner that NO2-N can squeeze O2 NO3-N. Similarly, NO2-N, helped reduce TSS. These strategies TSS-laden N2 liberation towards surface clarifiers. almost 90% compared initial solids SWTP nitrogen removal.
