Abstract The increasing environmental impact of industrial waste has driven the search for new synthesis routes utilizing natural precursors. This study explores production a biobased polymer from crude Kraft black liquor and condensed tannin, crosslinked with less toxic aldehydes such as furfural glyoxal, alternatives to formaldehyde. synthesized bio‐xerogels demonstrated varying viscosities physical properties depending on tannin content type crosslinker used. Results indicated that furfural‐based formulations successfully gelled exhibited superior mechanical strength stability compared formaldehyde ones. highlights feasibility using lignin‐rich by‐products phenolic compounds develop sustainable, high‐performance materials. contributes achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) offers potential applications in various environmental, medical, sectors.

In most countries energy needs are satisfied using fossil fuels. Fossil fuel combustion involves environmental pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The effect of the depletion natural resources growing awareness need to protect environment reasons that clean alternative sources have been significant research issues. One important technologies enabling efficient generation low-emission is gasification process synthesis production. Syngas primarily composed hydrogen carbon monoxide, but depending on feedstock, it can also contain smaller concentrations, e.g., dioxide, methane nitrogen. Because contains flammable toxic substances, may pose hazards humans at every stage production, storage, transport or final utilization if released uncontrollably. This paper presents results analyses related created by an uncontrollable release during storage. A failure a syngas system cause damage other, subsequent technological systems facilities located in neighborhood containing dangerous substances. problem gains special significance stored many tanks, where one result tanks due so-called domino effect. conditions which occur analyzed occurrence probability determined mutual location tanks.
