Bisphenol A (BPA), one of the most abundantly produced endocrine disrupting chemicals, is widely used in everyday plastic products and thus must be monitored. Multimode sensing platforms are able to combine advantages different strategies while solving issues inaccurate test results single signal sensing. However, exploration this field limited due compromise conditions inevitable mutual interferences systems. Herein, we constructed a two-dimensional photonic crystal dually cross-linked supramolecular hydrogel (2DPCDCSH) by utilizing host-guest pair β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) tert-butyl (t-Bu) as second cross-linking for colorimetric fluorescent dual-mode BPA. Based on fact that BPA can act competitive guest break interaction between β-CD t-Bu, density decreased an expansion-induced structural color change occurred. Sensitive selective detection easily achieved measuring Debye diffraction ring diameter or observing 2DPC with limit 1 μg mL-1. Moreover, formation β-CD/BPA complex gave significant enhancement intrinsic fluorescence BPA, obtaining 0.001 The two systems share same reaction condition yield wider dynamic response range than strategy. Overall, proposed method presented efficient, rapid, cost-effective, regenerative analysis shed new insights design diversified platforms.

The increase of the global population and shortage renewable water resources urges development possible remedies to improve quality reusability waste contaminated supplies. Different pollutants, such as heavy metals, dyes, pesticides, endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs), pharmaceuticals, are produced through continuous technical industrial developments that emerging with increasing population. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) represent a class synthetic receptors can be from different types polymerization reactions between target template functional monomer(s), having groups specifically interacting template; interactions tailored according purpose designing polymer based on nature compounds. removal using suitable knocking out agents renders recognition cavity rebind which is main mechanism applicability MIPs in electrochemical sensors solid phase extraction sorbents. have unique properties terms stability, selectivity, resistance acids bases besides being low cost simple prepare; thus, they excellent materials used for analysis. current review represents applications past five years detection classes wastewater contaminants approaches future applications.

In this work, a label-free nonenzymatic photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor is successfully developed for the detection of typical pollutant, microcystin-LR (MC-LR), based on visible-light-responsive alloy oxide, with highly ordered and vertically aligned Ti-Fe-O nanotubes (NTs) as substrates. NTs consisting mainly TiO2 atomically doped Fe2O3 are in situ prepared Ti-Fe by electrochemical anodic oxidation. Using simple deposition technique, reduced graphene oxide (RGO) could be grown onto NTs, exhibiting significant bifunctions. It not only provides an ideal microenvironment functionalization molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) surface but also serves PEC signal amplification element because its outstanding conductivity photons electrons. The designed MIP/RGO/Ti-Fe-O NT exhibits high sensitivity toward MC-LR limit low 10 pM. High selectivity proven sensor. A promising platform other pollutants has therefore been provided.
