Noble-metal nanozymes have demonstrated great potential in various fields. However, aggregation of single-particle nanoparticles severely affects their exposed catalytically active sites to the extent exhibiting weak enzyme-like activity. Here, we present an organic block surfactant (polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVP) construct monodisperse water-stable Pt nanoclusters (Pt NCs) for enhanced immunoassay cardiac troponin I (cTnI). The PVP-modified NC nanozyme exhibited up 16.3 U mg-1 peroxidase-mimicking activity, which was mainly attributed ligand modification on surface and electron-absorbing effect NCs. NCs a lower OH-transition potential, as determined by density functional theory. Under optimized experimental conditions, strategy ultrawide dynamic response range 0.005-50 ng mL-1 cTnI targets with detection limit 1.3 pg mL-1, far superior some reported test protocols. This work provides designable pathway design artificial enzymes high activity further expand practical enzyme alternatives.

Semiconductor-based photoelectrochemical (PEC) test protocols offer a viable solution for developing efficient individual health monitoring by converting light and chemical energy into electrical signals. However, slow reaction kinetics electron–hole complexation at the interface limit their practical application. Here, we reported triple-engineered CdS nanohierarchical structures (CdS NHs) modification scheme including morphology, defective states, heterogeneous structure to achieve precise of neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) in plasma noninvasive body fluids. By precisely manipulating Cd–S precursor, achieved control over ternary NHs obtained well-defined layered self-assembled through surface carbon treatment. The integration defect states thin layer effectively established carrier directional transfer pathways, thereby enhancing sites improving conversion efficiency. microelectrode fabricated demonstrated remarkable negative response toward DA, enabling development miniature self-powered PEC device quantification human saliva. Additionally, utilization density functional theory calculations elucidated structural characteristics DA state CdS, thus establishing crucial theoretical groundwork optimizing polymerization process DA. present study offers potential engineering approach high efficiency semiconductors as well proposing novel concept designing sensitive testing strategies.

Traditionally, analytical chemistry and diagnosis relied on wet laboratories skilled professionals utilizing sophisticated instruments for sample handling analysis. Abstract Efficient and accurate diagnostic methods are important for human health monitoring prevention of major diseases, so the establishment efficient convenient testing clinical diagnosis is urgent. Photoelectrochemical (PEC) biosensors have attracted much attention because their high sensitivity, low detection background, especially advantages combining photoexcitation electrochemical detection. With rapid development integrated circuit technology many wireless transmissions highly aggregated portable micro devices manufactured, its small size, easy to carry, ability visualize results test shown be potential application such devices. This review aims cover recent advances in PEC biosensing within field detection, including principles biosensors, common photovoltaic materials, scalable fabrication techniques biosensing. The overuse of tetracycline, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, has posed severe threat to both the ecological environment and public safety. This paper presents one-step synthesis Bi2O2S/Bi2O3 heterojunctions utilizing simple environmentally friendly chemical method. These were subsequently employed in fabrication photoelectrochemical sensors tailored for tetracycline detection. Under optimal conditions, with bias voltage 0 V, sensor manifests exceptional self-powered capability, yielding photocurrent density approximately 270nA/cm2. detection sensitivity spans wide linear range from 0.1 pM 200 nM, accompanied by remarkably low limit 0.5 (S/N = 3). Furthermore, demonstrates commendable stability, rapid response characteristics, high selectivity, consistent reproducibility. findings not only offer novel opportunity advancing but also present fresh perspective realm development.
