Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) represents an aggressive subtype of (BC) with a typically poorer prognosis than other subtypes BC and limited therapeutic options. Therefore, new drugs would be particularly welcome to help treat TNBC. Preussin, isolated from the marine sponge-associated fungus, Aspergillus candidus, has shown potential reduce cell viability proliferation as well induce death cycle arrest in 2D culture models. However, studies that better mimic tumors vivo, such 3D cultures, are needed. Here, we studied effects preussin MDA-MB-231 line, comparing using ultrastructural analysis MTT, BrdU, annexin V-PI, comet (alkaline FPG modified versions), wound healing assays. Preussin was found decrease viability, both dose-dependent manner, impair proliferation, death, therefore excluding hypothesis genotoxic properties. The cellular impacts were reflected by alterations also significantly inhibited migration cells. data expanded knowledge on actions while supporting studies, highlighting its molecule or scaffold for development anticancer against

Marine fungi play a crucial role in energy flow and nutrient recycling, mediating the cycling of dissolved organic matter marine environments. However, despite being prolific group organisms, have been largely neglected for long time. Besides their importance food web, represent an active source natural products. Over last years, researchers focused on studying organisms to discover new metabolites with antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer activities. Moreover, advances high-throughput sequencing technologies mass spectrometry techniques, genomic metabolomic approaches revealed be paramount products discovery. The mycobiome includes many still identified, ones already known are underutilized biotechnological applications. For this reason, it is undeniable that exploring including habitats substrates, even those remote access, fundamental describing true magnitude Earth’s mycobiome.

Cancer is a serious threat to human beings and the second-largest cause of death all over globe. Chemotherapy one most common treatments for cancer; however, drug resistance severe adverse effects are major problems associated with anticancer therapy. New compounds multi-target inhibitory properties targeted surmount these challenges. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) overexpressed in cancers pancreas, breast, colorectal, stomach, lung carcinoma. Therefore, COX-2 considered significant target synthesis new agents. This review discusses biological activity recently prepared dual The important intermolecular interactions enzyme have also been presented.
