As the global population continues to grow, so does demand for longer, healthier lives and environmentally responsible choices. Consumers are increasingly drawn naturally sourced products with proven health wellbeing benefits. The marine environment presents a promising yet underexplored resource cosmetics industry, offering bioactive compounds potential safe biocompatible ingredients. This manuscript provides comprehensive overview of organisms production, highlighting marine-derived their applications in skin/hair/oral-care products, cosmeceuticals more. It also lays down critical safety considerations addresses methodologies sourcing compounds, including harvesting, biorefinery concept, use systems biology enhanced product development, relevant regulatory landscape. review is enriched by three case studies: design macroalgal skincare Iceland, establishment microalgal spin-off Italy, utilization proteins cosmeceutical applications.

Plant-derived biopesticides are emerging as a promising and popular alternative for promoting cleaner safer agricultural practices. The present work aims to explore Argyranthemum frutescens (Asteraceae) source of botanical pesticides validate this through cultivation process. To task, bioassay-guided fractionation the ethanolic root extracts from both wild cultivated A. on phytopathogenic fungi Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum, Alternaria alternata was conducted. This approach led identification polyacetylenes with higher potency than commercial fungicides. Specifically, compounds 3 (capillin) 5 (frutescinone) showed more 90% growth inhibition at 0.05 mg/mL concentration B. while 2 (capillinol) were also active positive controls, Fosbel-Plus Azoxystrobin, against F. oxysporum. structures isolated (1-6, 9, 10) alkamides (7, 8, 11) determined spectroscopic analysis, absolute configuration stereocenter C1 1, 2, 4 9 by NMR-spectroscopy (R)-(-)-α-methoxy-phenylacetic chiral derivatizing agent, biogenetic considerations. Overall, study supports potential agrochemical lead phytopathogens, validates viable biopesticides.

Dengue fever is a viral disease caused by the dengue flavivirus and transmitted through mosquito bites in humans. According to World Health Organization, severe causes approximately 40,000 deaths annually, nearly 4 billion people are at risk of infection. The urgent need for effective treatments against virus has led extensive research on potential bioactive compounds. In this study, we utilized network pharmacology approach identify DENV-2 capsid protein as an appropriate target intervention. Subsequently, selected library 537 phytochemicals derived from Azadirachta indica (Family: Meliaceae), known their anti-dengue properties, explore inhibitors protein. compound was subjected molecular docking potent with high binding affinity. We 81 hits based thorough analysis affinities, particularly those exhibiting higher energy than established inhibitor ST-148. After evaluating characteristics, identified two top-scored compounds them dynamics simulations assess stability properties. Additionally, predicted ADMET properties using silico methods. One inhibitors, [(5S,7R,8R,9R,10R,13R,17R)-17-[(2R)-2-hydroxy-5-oxo-2H-furan-4-yl]-4,4,8,10,13-pentamethyl-3-oxo-5,6,7,9,11,12,16,17-octahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-yl] acetate (AI-59), showed highest affinity -10.4 kcal/mol. Another compound, epoxy-nimonol (AI-181), demonstrated number H-bonds score -9.5 During simulation studies, both have exhibited noteworthy outcomes. Through mechanics employing Generalized Born surface area (MM/GBSA) calculations, AI-59 AI-181 displayed negative ΔG_bind scores -74.99 -83.91 kcal/mol, respectively. hit present investigation hold developing drugs targeting infections. Furthermore, knowledge gathered study serves foundation structure- or ligand-based exploration

Introduction Marine environments offer a wealth of opportunities to improve understanding and treatment options for cancers, through insights into range fields from drug discovery mechanistic insights. By applying One Health principles the knowledge obtained can benefit both human animal populations, including marine species suffering cancer. such is green sea turtles ( Chelonia mydas ), which are under threat fibropapillomatosis (FP), an epizootic tumor disease (animal epidemic) that continues spread increase in prevalence globally. In order effectively address this epizootic, more thorough required approaches treating afflicted turtles. Methods To identify gaps assess future needs, we conducted survey turtle FP experts.
