Abstract Ancient cities, as areas of urban origins, possess a deep historical heritage. However, due to the rapid urbanization process, lack systematic planning has caused large number and cultural heritages in ancient cities be destroyed. In this paper, after collecting geo-architectural data buildings neighborhoods using UAV inclined photogrammetry, Wallis filter algorithm is used pre-process image data. Context Capture software, three-dimensional modeling district been completed. Then, evaluation indexes methods for dynamic protection are proposed. The results show that technology can achieve high degree accuracy terms positional accuracy, plane, elevation errors, meeting indicators. After implementation strategy scores each secondary factor reuse Yangqiao Historical Cultural Quarter have increased 3.19-4.98 points, all which at level. This paper able analyse core content protected through modelling, take into account development based on strategy, provides new theoretical ideas practical references continuation district.
