This study seeks to evaluate how street space design impacts users' psychological healing. In the introduction, we highlight significance of this research area and outline our objectives. Regarding methods, employed Electroencephalography (EEG) eye - tracking technologies, centering on two elements: interface type green ratings, used physiological indicators measure healing responses. As for results, EEG data showed that open interfaces reduce cognitive load while high ratings offer positive natural stimulation, both enhancing effects. Eye indicated might influence more than type, likely due their role in determining element richness. The subjective questionnaire also underlined importance being away extent discussion, confirm effectiveness assessing present an evaluation framework blending emotional Overall, provides empirical basis optimizing improving interventions.

Noise pollution caused by construction activities in urban areas is a serious problem. Construction noise can affect human health and well-being negatively. This study utilised physiological data including heart rate parameters, Respiratory Rate (RR), Electrodermal Activity (EDA) to explore the effects of on health. Different types (saw, jackhammer, pile driver, bulldozer), levels (55, 65, 75 85 dBA), exposure durations (30, 60, 120, 180 s) were examined lab-based experiment. The conditions reproduced for twenty-three participants through speakers. To statistically analyse changes measures conditions, mixed models utilised. results revealed significant parameters (HR), high frequency (HF), standard deviation normal beat intervals (SDNN). In addition, showed that duration significantly affects responses, RR SDNN. will help identify non-auditory noise. outputs this research provide critical inputs revisit current environmental regulations protect community against negative more efficiently.

The construction process is a dynamic one, and the complexity of working conditions high level uncertainty make industry third most dangerous after mining agriculture. And since vital to development country, safety during particular importance. A great deal research, studies practices have been conducted reduce potential risks improve worker efficiency process. In recent years, with rapid cognitive neuroscience integration medical technology, various wearable monitoring devices widely used in field building for real-time workers’ physical mental conditions. Among them, application EEG (electroencephalogram) enables researchers gain insight into state workers while performing tasks. This paper introduces technology portable equipment summarizes its adverse reactions (emotion, fatigue, psychological burden, vigilance) hazard identification which provides future research site management.

Purpose Construction activities conducted in urban areas are often a source of significant noise disturbances, which cause psychological and health issues for residents as well long-term auditory impairments construction workers. The limited effectiveness passive control measures due to the close proximity site surrounding neighborhoods results complaints eventually lawsuits. These can then lead delays cost overruns projects. Design/methodology/approach paper proposes novel approach integrating an additional dimension into scheduling works. To achieve this, building information model, including three-dimensional layout object geometry, resource allocation schedule information, is utilized. developed method explores further project data that typically available, such assigned equipment task, its precise location, estimated duration noisy tasks. This prediction model by using mapping techniques suggesting less alternative ways construction. Finally, obtained from sensors case study contribute real values validating proposed approach, be used later suggest solutions mitigation. Findings this indicate accurately predict given few available parameters digital planning installed on site. Proactively process has benefits both managers, it reduces noise-related prevents unexpected legal ensures well-being workforce. Originality/value While previous research concentrated real-time collection sensors, more effective solution would also involve addressing mitigating during pre-construction work phase.

Natural disasters have always been a substantial threat to human survival and development. Due climate change, the number of weather-related has more than doubled worldwide, further emphasizing need for research on post-disaster environments. However, conducting comprehensive studies in actual disaster settings poses challenges. This study proposes novel approach that combines electroencephalography (EEG), virtual reality (VR), laboratory environmental control (LEC) investigate joint effects temperature spatial openness psychological recovery populations. The integration these techniques provided controlled immersive experimental environment simulating scenarios. conducted group experiment focusing two variables environments: range openness. Three ranges were selected condition: high (30 °C–36 °C), mid (22 °C–28 low zones (12 °C–20 °C); environments by LEC. In terms openness, three levels chosen: temporary emergency shelters (enclosed space), semi-outdoor area building (BBBC) designed project team (semi-open open natural (open space). then established temperature-spatial matrix. involved emotional experiments nine patterns environments, using physiological parameters such as EEG, skin conductance, heart rate, well through subjective questionnaires. findings this will be beneficial efficiently reasonably optimizing human-centered designs situations featuring limited resources.
