Indoor environmental quality (IEQ) significantly impacts human health, well-being, and productivity. Indoor environmental quality (IEQ) of buildings plays an important role in affecting building occupants' comfort, health and well-being. However, there is limited understanding the critical IEQ factors that affect work productivity university office buildings. By surveying 204 people (72 staff members 132 postgraduate students) a tertiary education institution New Zealand, this research aimed to identify rank concerning their perceived how importance these differed between student cohorts. Previous studies suggested that introducing fountain sound could mitigate the discomfort and memory disturbance caused by structure borne from a metro, proposed prediction models for after mitigation. Indoor fires can easily cause property damage and especially serious casualties. Early timely fire detection helps firefighters make scientific judgments on the of fires, thereby effectively controlling accidents. However, most existing computer-vision-based methods are only able to detect a single case flame or smoke. In this paper, tailored deep-learning-based scheme is designed simultaneously smoke objects in indoor scenes. We adopt semantic segmentation architecture DeepLabv3+ as main model, which an encoder-decoder for both objects. Within this, key module, e.g., atrous convolution, integrated into improve image resolution accurately locate targets. addition, solve question insufficient dataset, we prepare construct new annotated dataset named ‘Flame Smoke Semantic Dataset (FSSD)’, includes extensive information collected from real scenes other sources. Experiments conducted our FSSD database comparisons with state-of-the-art (FCN, PSPNet, DeepLabv3), confirm high performance proposed 91.53% aAcc, 89.67% mAcc, 0.8018 mIoU, respectively.

The relationship between workers' environmental comfort and productivity has been extensively studied over the years, yet real-world investigations remain limited. Living labs provide an opportunity to observe interactions different domains their impact on occupants. This study aims investigate connection contextual factors, visual thermal sensations, comfort, how they relate self-perceived of office workers in a Lab setting, utilizing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Comfort sensation perception surveys were conducted during each session year, alongside sensing system continuously monitoring temperature, illuminance, window/door operations five offices participating study. Subjects working single reported higher than those shared across all conditions. Contextual characteristics, such as time day, had significant defining satisfaction. A cross-modal effect was observed domains, highlighting that evaluating factors isolation from assessment overlooks critical elements building physics. This research examined the modeling of productivity with thermal comfort using various models in a case study conducted classrooms at university Southern Brazil.
