With climate change affecting buildings differently across various local climates, there's a heightened focus on microclimates and their impact building energy consumption. Urban the buildings' dynamics by influencing weather patterns while operations affect these through feedback. This paper provides comprehensive review of tools applications used for examining feedback interaction between operation energy, urban microclimate. study collects, analyses, classifies related to Building Energy Modeling (UBEM) Climate (UCM) particularly focuses combination Multi-Domain Scale (MD-USEM), enabling efficient information exchange microclimate models. The building-microclimate may occur as either one-way or two-way interaction, distinction that is thoroughly examined in final section with an in-depth analysis relevant literature.

This study examines the climate adaptability of traditional Hani ‘Mushroom Houses’ located in rice terrace region Honghe Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan, China. By analyzing 30 years meteorological data, identifies local climatic characteristics high temperatures, humidity, and significant diurnal temperature variations. The thermal comfort voting method was used to establish a quantitative relationship between Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET) index residents’ subjective perceptions, thereby assessing seasonal variations comfort. Field measurements indoor outdoor temperature, wind speed were conducted May December 2023 evaluate interactions rooms. demonstrated: (1) critical roles building orientation (e.g., northwest-facing design), functional layout multi-story zoning), structural forms thick walls, thatched roofs) regulating humidity.
