Discovering the Representative places (RPs) of a city will benefit understanding local culture and help to improve life experiences. Previous studies have been limited in regard large-scale spatial identification RPs due vagueness boundaries lack appropriate data sources efficient tools. Furthermore, human perception these remains unclear. To address this gap, research adopts novel approach identify evaluate from perspective perception. Our methodology involves utilization deep learning systems, text semantic analysis, other techniques integrate multi-source data, including points interest (POIs), street view images, social media data. Taking Nanjing, China, as case, we identified 192 their perceptual ranges (PRRPs). The results show following: (1) Comparing non-RPs, higher average scores across four dimensions (positive indicators): Beautiful (7.11% higher), Lively (34.23% Safety (28.42% Wealthy (28.26% higher). Conversely, exhibit lower two (negative Boring (79.04% lower) Depressing (20.35% lower). (2) Across various dimensions, utilized 15.13% land area effectively cover approximately 50% hotspots cold spots. (3) significant variations different types, levels, preferences. These demonstrate positive perceived effects that have, providing valuable insights support urban management, transformation built environment, promotion sustainable development, provide guidance for planners designers make improvements design planning sites more attractive.

The acoustic landscape directly affects people’s perceptual experience, which is crucial to enhancing urban greenways’ visibility experience. This study analyzed data from three typical greenways in Fuzhou City. By classifying and combining the space into two levels of “enclosure–coverage”, was categorized six types: covered, uncovered, open, semi-open, semi-enclosed, enclosure space. We explored characteristics soundscape perception factors affecting evaluation different spaces. results showed that differences sound sources between day night led spatial types. pressure level decreased with an increasing degree coverage. scores source were significantly degrees coverage, where open covered most sensitive sound, played a positive role harmony artificial sound. Pleasantness richness main influencing overall perception, contributing 50% 17%, respectively. Visitors’ age, residence type, visit frequency perception. conclusions provide reference for improving quality.

The thermal environment effect poses great threats to the sustainable development of cities. It is crucial identify priority areas for optimizing urban as a strategy mitigate this effectively. We developed comprehensive framework metrics evaluate community-scale outdoor comfort and built characteristics. This includes universal climate index green space morphology, utilizing large dataset meteorological data. Subsequent spatial econometric analysis pinpointed that have significant impact on comfort. Additionally, we applied methods supply–demand matching division determine key with imbalances areas. results showed substantial variability in among different community units old city Fuzhou, China. Seven building coverage ratio, patch density, shape index, etc. significantly influenced Among four identified relationships between comfort, 97 were categorized mismatch, 45 these highest priority. study provides scientific foundation devising more focused strategies optimize environment.

Exploring the combined effects of multisensory interactions in open spaces can help improve comfort campus environments. Nine typical on a university Fuzhou were selected for this study. Subjects perceived environment and then completed an on-site subjective questionnaire. At same time, meteorological data (global radiation, air temperature, globe wind speed, relative humidity, illumination intensity) measured to determine between visual acoustic thermal perceptions. Differences parameters measuring points described using one-way ANOVA Tukey’s post hoc test, chi-square test independence was used significant associations thermal, acoustic, comfort, which turn led study visual, two-way ANOVA. The following conclusions drawn: (1) Thermal Comfort Vote (TCV) increased with increasing Acoustic (ACV) at all levels stress. (2) highest lowest Sensation (ASV) values each sound type derived from either “slightly cold” or “warm” conditions. Both positively correlated. (3) When “neutral”, (TSV) intensity (LUX). (4) Sunlight (SSV) Universal Climate Index (UTCI) when (LUX) moderate bright. (5) came
