This article revisits the Equivalent Contact Temperature (ECT) model by incorporating winter scenarios with seat heating, which were unaddressed in previous studies. The research focuses on enhancing model's accuracy evaluating thermal comfort for seated individuals under non-uniform conditions, particularly buttocks and back. These contact areas are crucial both local overall comfort, especially Personalised Environmental Control Systems (PECS), like heating ventilation, operate close to body. PECS more energy efficient than traditional HVAC systems, offering customisation individual preferences while efficiency buildings vehicles. A participant study at air temperatures of 17 °C 18 validated ECT approach, confirming effectiveness revealing key correlations between values ratings. Additionally, an equivalent skin temperature a evaluation scheme conditions introduced.
