Rapid urbanization has intensified public housing development and building density, posing significant challenges to residents’ well-being urban sustainability. With the population of Greater Bay Area on rise, enhancing spatial quality is now essential. The study proposed a quantitative framework evaluate relationship between residential design elements perceived density in high-density neighborhoods. It employed virtual reality perception experiment analyze indicators by investigating 16 layout models 3 configurations: Tower-Enclosed, Balanced Slab-Enclosed, Staggered Slab-Enclosed. results indicate that: (1) greater height intensifies leading sensations overcrowding discomfort; (2) an increased sky ratio mitigates fostering more open pleasant environment; (3) recessed facades enhance perception; (4) Slab-Enclosed Layout configurations receive most favorable evaluations regarding density. authors attempt go beyond current regulations propose tailored solutions for Shenzhen’s context, improving efficiency comfort future designs. finding provides scientific evidence support planners policymakers developing resilient sustainable

Digital technology has brought drastic changes to the design methods, values, and tools of neighbourhood public spaces, thereby changing behavioural patterns people in spaces. Therefore, people’s requirements for urban space have changed are characterised by high efficiency, precision, humanization, aesthetics. Scholars at home abroad conducted many studies practises on application digital design, but there is a lack systematic research use analysis multi-faceted data. This paper selects Xiaomi Beijing Changping II project, simulates deduces physical environment its location, results natural using data sunshine, wind, water catchment environment, then crowd’s action paths combining kinetic algorithms ant optimise processes, basis this research. The team designed five groups programmes project based different methods comparative study through hierarchical method conjunction with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, as well discussing them actual bidding scoring conclusions industry experts. show that scheme simulation crowd better able take advantage analytical predictive advantages unite designer’s aesthetic interests, balancing objectivity subjectivity process. more likely achieve solution combines systematicity, foresight, rationality, aesthetics, provides an empirical case space, aiming improve rationality solve data-objective problems faced stage.
