Abstract Studies have shown that thermal runoff will form on the impervious surface after rainfall occurs in summer, which cause pollution to urban water bodies. However, existing calculation models lack a simplified hydrothermal model suitable for typical surfaces and do not continuously express process of formation by rainfall. In this study, rainwater heat transfer was established, temperature based numerical simulation proposed continuous state. By comparing with field‐measured data, has higher accuracy ( R 2 = 0.98, MAE 0.16°C, RMSE 0.17°C). The combination random forest Shapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) method used evaluate explain main factors affecting temperature, it found initial positively correlated most critical factor temperature.
