Abstract Although the field of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd) has a substantial history as research domain, never before rapid evolution AI applications education sparked such prominent public discourse. Given already rapidly growing AIEd literature base higher education, now is time to ensure that solid and conceptual grounding. This review reviews first comprehensive meta explore scope nature (AIHEd) research, by synthesising secondary (e.g., systematic reviews), indexed Web Science, Scopus, ERIC, EBSCOHost, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect ACM Digital Library, or captured through snowballing OpenAlex, ResearchGate Google Scholar. Reviews were included if they synthesised solely formal continuing published English between 2018 July 2023, journal articles full conference papers, had method section 66 publications for data extraction synthesis EPPI Reviewer, which predominantly (66.7%), authors from North America (27.3%), conducted teams (89.4%) mostly domestic-only collaborations (71.2%). Findings show these focused on AIHEd generally (47.0%) Profiling Prediction (28.8%) thematic foci, however key findings indicated predominance use Adaptive Systems Personalisation education. Research gaps identified suggest need greater ethical, methodological, contextual considerations within future alongside interdisciplinary approaches application. Suggestions are provided guide primary research.

Abstract The growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) dialogue systems within educational and research settings highlights the importance learning aids. Despite examination ethical concerns associated with these technologies, there is a noticeable gap in investigations on how issues AI contribute to students’ over-reliance systems, such affects cognitive abilities. Overreliance occurs when users accept AI-generated recommendations without question, leading errors task performance context decision-making. This typically arises individuals struggle assess reliability or much trust place its suggestions. systematic review investigates particularly those embedded generative models for academic learning, their critical capabilities including decision-making, thinking, analytical reasoning. By using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, our evaluated body literature addressing contributing factors effects contexts. comprehensive spanned 14 articles retrieved from four distinguished databases: ProQuest, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Web Science. Our findings indicate that stemming impacts abilities, as increasingly favor fast optimal solutions over slow ones constrained by practicality. tendency explains why prefer efficient shortcuts, heuristics, even amidst presented technologies.

This scoping literature review examines the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), a disruptive technology, in language teaching and learning. Since its launch November 2022, GenAI has captured global attention with OpenAI's ChatGPT, powered by generative pre-trained transformer-3 (GPT-3) large-language model. The emergence holds immense implications across various domains, including education. aims to provide an overview current state research identify gaps future directions this emerging field. follows PRISMA-ScR guidelines includes eligible publications published between 2017 July 2023. This study aims to assess the adoption and impact of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) tools in higher education, focusing on a private university Latin America. Guided by question, "What is impact, as perceived students, using various dimensions learning teaching within context education?" employs rigorously validated 30-item instrument examine five key dimensions: 1) Effectiveness use A.I. tools, 2) ChatGPT, 3) Student's proficiency 4) Teacher's 5) Advanced student skills These form synthetic index used for comprehensive evaluation. Targeting 4,127 students from university's schools Engineering, Business, Arts, garnered 21,449 responses, analyzed Confirmatory Factor Analysis validity. Findings indicate significantly positive academic experiences, including enhanced comprehension, creativity, productivity. In recent years, the demand for mental health services has increased exponentially, prompting need accessible, cost-effective, and efficient solutions. This paper introduces an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled mobile chatbot psychologist that leverages AIML (Artificial Markup Language) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide psychological support.
