The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has been notable in supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, particularly offering interactive assessments. AI-driven dialogue systems that produce culturally relevant humor and empathy, bridging the native language (L1) target (L2), have employed to engage EAL learners more effectively boost their learning results. However, there's a noticeable gap research concerning fusion humor, intercultural dimensions learning. Intercultural encompass acquiring crucial knowledge, communication skills, values essential for meaningful interactions across cultures. This case study examines effectiveness AI system, termed Multidimensional Approach Culture, Humor, Empathy Bot (MACHE-Bot), elevating experience its potential enhance proficiency. Using convenience sampling, 37 individuals were selected from group on Facebook. Following two-week pilot study, semi-structured interviews conducted. results revealed MACHE-Bot adeptly initiated reciprocated with cultural nuances manner well-received by participants. Additionally, identified five pivotal factors MACHE-Bot: (1) dimensions, which include humorous interaction empathetic support; (2) user trust comprising both affective cognitive elements; (3) anthropomorphism; (4) reciprocal self-disclosure; (5) higher engagement motivation. These collectively contribute creating engaging, relatable, supportive environment, facilitating natural process, fostering deeper learner-bot connection, thereby potentially enhancing motivation investment process.

Abstract Although the field of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd) has a substantial history as research domain, never before rapid evolution AI applications education sparked such prominent public discourse. Given already rapidly growing AIEd literature base higher education, now is time to ensure that solid and conceptual grounding. This review reviews first comprehensive meta explore scope nature (AIHEd) research, by synthesising secondary (e.g., systematic reviews), indexed Web Science, Scopus, ERIC, EBSCOHost, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect ACM Digital Library, or captured through snowballing OpenAlex, ResearchGate Google Scholar. Reviews were included if they synthesised solely formal continuing published English between 2018 July 2023, journal articles full conference papers, had method section 66 publications for data extraction synthesis EPPI Reviewer, which predominantly (66.7%), authors from North America (27.3%), conducted teams (89.4%) mostly domestic-only collaborations (71.2%). Findings show these focused on AIHEd generally (47.0%) Profiling Prediction (28.8%) thematic foci, however key findings indicated predominance use Adaptive Systems Personalisation education. Research gaps identified suggest need greater ethical, methodological, contextual considerations within future alongside interdisciplinary approaches application. Suggestions are provided guide primary research.

Abstract The growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) dialogue systems within educational and research settings highlights the importance learning aids. Despite examination ethical concerns associated with these technologies, there is a noticeable gap in investigations on how issues AI contribute to students’ over-reliance systems, such affects cognitive abilities. Overreliance occurs when users accept AI-generated recommendations without question, leading errors task performance context decision-making. This typically arises individuals struggle assess reliability or much trust place its suggestions. systematic review investigates particularly those embedded generative models for academic learning, their critical capabilities including decision-making, thinking, analytical reasoning. By using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, our evaluated body literature addressing contributing factors effects contexts. comprehensive spanned 14 articles retrieved from four distinguished databases: ProQuest, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Web Science. Our findings indicate that stemming impacts abilities, as increasingly favor fast optimal solutions over slow ones constrained by practicality. tendency explains why prefer efficient shortcuts, heuristics, even amidst presented technologies.

Guided by question, "What is impact, as perceived students, using various dimensions learning teaching within context education?" employs rigorously validated 30-item instrument examine five key dimensions: 1) Effectiveness use A.I. tools, 2) ChatGPT, 3) Student's proficiency 4) Teacher's 5) Advanced student skills These form synthetic index used for comprehensive evaluation. Targeting 4,127 students from university's schools Engineering, Business, Arts, garnered 21,449 responses, analyzed Confirmatory Factor Analysis validity. Findings indicate significantly positive academic experiences, including enhanced comprehension, creativity, productivity. Importantly, identifies areas with low high integration, serving an institutional diagnostic tool. The data underscores importance among both educators advocating its integration pedagogical evolution rather than just technological shift. research has critical implications data-driven decision-making offering robust framework institutions aiming navigate complexities implementation.
