As Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) adapt to the demands of contemporary learners, rapid technological changes prompt a re-evaluation traditional pedagogical methodologies and sustainability directives. This chapter investigates impact digital environments in teaching, learning assessment (TLA) practices. Findings indicate that student autonomy assessments is influenced by method critical reflection adopted instructors learners. Our connection with Brookfield’s work becomes more apparent an applied philosophical analysis reflective intersection new teaching paradigms under Noopshere speculative epistemological frameworks. To this day, core thesis remains largely unchanged: critically teacher identifies scrutinises assumptions shape practice using four lenses reflection: (1) students’ eyes, (2) colleagues’ perspectives, (3) theory, (4) personal experience. We argue adjustments HEIs support practices examining these through additional autobiographical lens, alongside perceptions, theoretical literature associated reflection. study builds on recent proposal for incorporating fifth lens—the “Learning Environment” effectively account learners’ interactions physical classroom, interfaces, simulations, or virtual (VLEs).
