Artemisia ordosica Krasch. represents a medicinal species traditionally and extensively employed in traditional medicine for treating ailments such as rheumatic arthritis, sore throat, inflammation. This study initially focuses on the extraction, purification, characterization of polysaccharides (AOP). The purified AOP exhibits molecular mass corresponding to 9.00 kDa consists multiple monosaccharide units, with glucose (54.08%) predominant component, followed by arabinose (13.75%), mannose (13.43%), galactose (12.79%), xylose (3.15%), glucuronic acid (0.93%), galacturonic (0.67%), ribose (0.63%), fucose (0.56%), respectively. Furthermore, explore immune-regulatory mechanisms AOP, peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs) were cultured exposed inhibitors targeting receptors signaling molecules. results indicated that TLR4 serves potential target through which exerts its immunomodulatory functions. mitigates immune stress PBLs triggered LPS disrupting interaction between TLR downregulating over-activation nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway. In summary, shows promise feed additive protect animals from stress.

Hericium erinaceus, commonly known as lion’s mane mushroom, has gained increasing scientific interest due to its rich composition of bioactive compounds and diverse health-promoting properties. This narrative review provides a comprehensive overview the nutritional therapeutic potential H. with particular focus on anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial activities. A structured literature search was performed using databases such PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, Web Science, Google Scholar. Studies published in last two decades focusing erinaceus’ were included. The chemical erinaceus includes polysaccharides, terpenoids (hericenones erinacines), phenolic compounds, which exhibit potent antioxidant effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) inducing endogenous enzymes. Additionally, shows promising activity against bacterial fungal pathogens, applications combating antibiotic-resistant infections. mushroom’s capacity stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis highlighted preventing managing neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s. Advances biotechnological methods, including optimized cultivation techniques novel extraction may further enhance bioavailability pharmacological erinaceus. Despite findings, clinical validation remains limited. Future research should prioritize large-scale trials, standardization elucidation pharmacokinetics facilitate integration into evidence-based medicine. functional food, nutraceutical, adjunct agent highlights need for interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, clinicians, regulatory bodies.

Abstract Polysaccharides, natural polymers of monosaccharides, exhibit diverse biological activities due to their molecular structures and functional properties. Morchella esculenta , a precious edible mushroom with higher market value, is also rich in polysaccharides (MEP) holds potential as bioactive compound therapeutic food applications. This short review examines structural characteristics advanced extraction methods. MEP demonstrate potent antioxidative effects by modulating the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway, antidiabetic properties through α‐amylase α‐glucosidase inhibition, hypolipidemic via improved lipid metabolism reduced adipogenesis. Their immunomodulatory activity linked short‐chain fatty acid production, cytokine regulation, G protein‐coupled receptor activation, while hepatoprotective involve mitigating oxidative stress inflammation.
