This
article
provides
an
overview
of
the
diverse
applications
hydrogels
in
nutrient
recovery
from
water
and
wastewater.
Due
to
their
unique
properties,
such
as
high
water-retention
capacity,
rerelease,
tunable
porosity,
have
emerged
promising
materials
for
efficient
capture
recycling.
It
has
been
suggested
that
hydrogels,
depending
on
composition,
can
be
reused
agriculture,
especially
drought-prone
areas.
Further
research
paths
identified
could
expand
application
these
regions.
However,
main
focus
is
highlight
current
gaps
understanding
how
bind
nitrogen
phosphorus
compounds.
The
study
underscores
need
specifically
examines
different

with
each

nutrients.
