Abstract During the coal mining operation, accumulated soil in gangue hills often suffers from nutrient deficiencies, which can be overcome using fertilizer supplementation. The supplementation of exogenous nutrients has proven to an effective means enhancing physicochemical conditions these soils and promoting vegetation reestablishment. This study aimed investigate characteristics plant growth properties restoration a hill, focusing on artificially seeded grasslands high-altitude area as research subject. Over period three consecutive years, varying gradients nitrogen phosphorus supplements were applied hill. Furthermore, interrelationships between plants factors at different dosages chemical fertilization analyzed so determine appropriate level conducive ecological system's area. results this revealed significant responses ( P < 0.05) height, coverage, biomass dosage, leading increase availability 0.05). Apart moss dosage exhibited positive correlation with various characteristics, well highly availability. Notably, no differences > observed physical amendments. In conclusion, is beneficial for improving areas hills. recommended minimum 40g/m² urea combination 30g/m² diammonium phosphate. supplement should continuously. Terrace erosion has become increasingly pronounced due to the rising incidence of heavy rainfalls resulting from global climate change; however, processes and mechanisms governing loess terraces during such events remain poorly understood. A field investigation was performed following a rainfall event in Tangjiahe Basin examine soil characteristics subjected events. The results show that various types occurred on terraced fields, including rill, gully, scour hole water erosion, sink hole, collapse, shallow landslide gravity erosion. Rill exhibited highest frequency occurrence new old terraces, respectively. moduli were 171.0%, 119.5%, 308.7% greater than those In contrast, lower collapse observed comparison reflecting reductions 34.2% 23.4%, Furthermore, modulus (32,102 t/km2) 4.5 times terraces. Conversely, terrace, (8804.1 exceeded by 14.5%. Gully dominated processes, contributing 67.8% 9.4% 38.7% 34.0%, respectively, study area, experienced significantly (39,252 compared (16,491 t/km2). Plastic film mulching, loose bare ridges walls, inclined terrace platforms, high as well developing flow paths, might be key factors promoting severe rainfall. Improvements design, construction technologies, temporary protective measures, agricultural techniques, management strategies could enhance prevention

The enhancement of soil erosion resistance via and water conservation practices is a necessary venture in the modern agricultural industry. Soil infiltration performance, as indicator resistance, closely related to aggregates. However, relationship between C/N ratio aggregates overall performance under tillage unclear. Experiments were conducted 2022 2023 observe carbon nitrogen distribution patterns sloping cultivated land different practices. In this study, ridge pitting field + subsoiling (RF-S) contour (TP-S) have been used plot experiment, with down-slope cultivation (CK) control. results showed that stability aggregates, organic total contents particle-sizes, greatly increased RF-S TP-S treatments (up-slope, mid-slope, down-slope). Compared CK, significantly improved at slope positions (on, in, slope) particle sizes >2 mm 2–0.25 mm. more effectively reduced deposition macroaggregates down can comprehensively improve performance. mean weight diameter (MWD) geometric (GMD) reflect also indicate structure. MWD by 6% 17.7%, GMD 9.7% 27.2%, average rate 41.8% 78.3%, initial 19.1% 46.6%, stable 109.2% 165.9%. positively correlated negatively <0.25 study show reasonable measures are helpful improving anti-erosion ability illustrate influence mechanism on

Pecan [Carya illinoinensis (Wangenh.) Koch] is a widely cultivated dried fruit and woody oil tree with high economic value. Continuous sole planting of pecan caused some land to lie idle deterioration soil conditions. Tree medicinal crops intercropping represents an environmental-friendly economically feasible solution these issues. Thus, we aimed explore the underlying mechanism by which improved condition regulating interactions microbiome metabolome. In this study, pecans were intercropped caper spurge honeysuckle on farm in China. A combined analysis microbiomes metabolomes was performed discover effects bulk rhizosphere soils. The results showed that edaphic properties promoted growth spurge. Intercropping also significantly altered structures both bacterial fungal communities soil, stabilised enrichment nitrogen-cyclic bacteria, for instance, Bacillus, decreased relative abundances plant–pathogenic fungi, Fusarium. addition, result metabolomic synthesis functional compounds, such as trehalose ethanolamine, enhanced plant disease resistance Moreover, co-occurrence networks soils revealed Bacillus correlated Fusarium, Alternaria, under patterns. Furthermore, Penicillium Rhizomicrobium increased more dynamic connections other genera metabolites compared single planting. Overall, can improve conditions promote through microbiological metabolomics integrated analyses. This study provides valuable information theoretical basis optimizing resource utilisation improving fields like via intercropping, thereby reducing production losses ensuring benefits.
