Abstract With the development of intensive agriculture, soil health issues has received widespread attention. However, mechanism response to carbon and nitrogen pool sequestration characteristics under different cultivation practices in combination with application is not yet elucidated. This limits idea trying improve biosystem paddy fields through organic combined appropriate reduction fertilization. A split-plot design was employed, methods (organic [OF] conventional [CF]) levels (pure at 180 kg·hm− 2 [N12] pure 270 [N18]) into four treatments. The impacts as well fertilizer rates on properties were compared. results demonstrated that significantly increased total content surface soil. Soil ammonium showed an overall trend decreasing then increasing, while opposite true for nitrate content. Notably, activity enzymes involved cycle humic acid tillage layer, which led improvement aggregate structure. This research indicates fertilization positively affects characteristics. study provides new insights restoring fertility promoting sustainable agriculture.
