Photocatalytic degradation research has attracted significant attention in the wake of increasingly severe global challenge water pollution. In this study, nano-ZnO was synthesized through a straightforward method using zinc acetate anhydrous as precursor. The experimental results revealed that annealing conditions significantly influenced bandgap energy (Eg) ZnO, with positive correlation observed between intensity photoluminescence (PL) spectra and photocatalytic activity. Under optimal at 300 °C for 1.5 h, efficiency methylene blue (MB) exceeded 98% within 40 min ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, surpassing efficiencies reported ZnO recent studies. This high performance underscores excellent activity samples. Furthermore, after five cycles, MB remained above 90%, crystalline structure samples stable, demonstrating their exceptional structural stability during process. Additionally, study examined effects stirring different light sources on degradation, providing valuable insights future related fields.
