Abstract Aclonifen is a diphenyl ether herbicide being included in the list of priority substances. Nevertheless, data related to its sublethal effects on fish are limited. Therefore, present study has been carried out investigate toxic aclonifen juvenile Oncorhynchus mykiss following 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours application concentrations 12.7, 63.5 127 μg/L. The resulted altered blood biochemistry appearing as hyperglycemia, decreased cholesterol induced activities transaminases ALT AST. inhibition AChE brain, gill liver was unimportant revealing weak potential anticholinesterase. induction recorded for SOD, CAT, GPx GST accompanied with sustained elevation TBARS PC levels. It demonstrates both pro-oxidant oxidation lipid proteins resulting loss membrane integrity protein function. Hyperglycemic condition levels might be proposed general adaptive responses compensate increased energy demand. integrative assessment multi-biomarker shows concentration duration rise calculated indexes. SOD achieved maximum scores liver, respectively. Considering results, oxidative stress inducing anticholinesterase activity along disturbing impact were evidenced. Moreover, adverse affects observed after short term O. mykiss, risk may cause at population level aquatic ecosystems emphasizing importance pesticide regulations avoid impacts non-target species.
