A self-assembly fluorescent gelator (DIAN) based on a 3,4-diamine-naphthalimide derivative was constructed for sensing of multiple hazardous substances. The DIAN self-assembled into organogels to form tightly packed nanofiber morphologies with hydrophobicity (water contact angles in the range 130–146°). responded phosgene ratiometric mode, while it thionyl chloride (SOCl2) and oxalyl ((COCl)2) under "turn-off" mode. Results obtained from NMR HRMS experiments demonstrated mechanism, observed that phosgene, SOCl2, (COCl)2 initially reacted two amine groups naphthalimide. corresponding cyclization products were formed, this induced changes fluorescence emission. Low limit detection (LOD) values recorded solution (LOD = 4.21, 1.98, 1.29 nM) xerogel films 105, 69.1, 33.3 ppb). results reported herein can help provide new platform monitoring toxic chloride, chloride.

Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) materials have gained significant attention for their unique fluorescence enhancement in the aggregated state. However, combining rigid polymers with AIE molecules to enhance luminescent properties remains be investigated. In this work, two novel AIE-active polyarylethersulfone (PAES) derivatives are synthesized by incorporating tetraphenylethene (TPE) into either side chain or main of PAES, resulting side-chain polyarylethersulfone-tetraphenylethene (PAES-TPE) and main-chain (m-PAES-TPE), respectively. These designed investigate influence polymer backbone on TPE. The incorporation TPE PAES resulted a notable redshift compared pure Notably, m-PAES-TPE50%, 50% molar content TPE, exhibited quantum yield 57.43%, more than twice that powder. Thermal analysis showed both PAES-TPE m-PAES-TPE excellent thermal stability temperature-dependent fluorescence. Additionally, these processed hydrophobic nanoparticles, vitro experiments demonstrated good biocompatibility cancer cell bioimaging. This work highlights potential advanced bioimaging applications.
