In order to determine how lanthanide ions (La, Nd, Eu, Gd, Ho, Tb, Lu) coordinate in ternary systems with alpha-hydroxy acids (glycolic acid—GA; or tartaric acid—Tar) and spermine (Spm), potentiometric studies were conducted. addition, binary of metal studied, as well the possibility non-covalent interactions between studied ligands. This study was carried out aqueous solutions, composition formed complexes confirmed using computer data analysis. Using spectroscopic measurements, inner outer coordination spheres central ion determined. systems, via luminescent studies, occurrence so-called ‘antenna effect’ confirmed. These formation which can exist sphere interacting non-covalently an acid sphere.
