The polymerization and oligomerization of olefins especially ethylene is a topic great interest in the world polymer chemistry. Catalysts are an essential component this process; most commonly used catalytic systems complex catalysts, role which played by compounds containing transition metal ions, e.g. chromium(III), copper(II), nickel(II). In paper, series studies presented to find highly active catalyst that stable at relatively low pressures high temperatures, addition being synthesized environmentally friendly method, understand influence structure main ligand auxiliary on properties compounds. A nine oxovanadium(IV) cobalt(II) ions combined with various organic ligands, dipicolinic acid, 2,2'-bipyridyl iminodiacetic diglycolic were carried out determine their activity ethylene. resulting products then analyzed IR, MALDI-TOF-MS, TG, DSC SEM techniques characterize verify correctness reaction. Based data obtained, values calculated compared catalyst. results showed highest for compound acid anion 2,2’-bipyridyl its structure, allowed conclusions be drawn about type complex.
