This study demonstrates a novel circular approach for discarded polyethylene terephthalate (PET) textiles with life cycle assessment (LCA) validation, proposing an optimized recycling method PET depolymerization byproducts. The experimental emphasizes sourcing the metal-organic framework ingredients including metal and linker components from single reaction. For depolymerization, salt-based deep eutectic solvent (DES) composed of p-toluene sulfonic acid iron(iii) chloride hexahydrate was employed acting as both catalyst. Sequential recovery processes multiple products were established, their recyclability demonstrated. LCA performed on varied scenarios developed process, results provided solid grounds to conclude that suggested process produces relatively less burden environment, attributed effective catalytic action DES maximized use byproducts generated reactions. work pioneers comprehensive integrating methods establishing robust proof-of-concept maximizing potential products.
