With the pressing concern of climate change, hydrogen will undoubtedly play an essential role in future to accelerate way out from fossil fuel‐based economy. In this case, membrane‐based separation cannot be neglected since, compared with other conventional process, process is more effective and consumes less energy. Regarding this, metal‐based membranes, particularly palladium, are usually employed for because its high selectivity. However, advancement various microporous materials, status quo membranes could challenged they offer better performance also cheaper produced. article, fabricated five main namely silica‐based zeolite carbon‐based metal organic frameworks/covalent frameworks (MOF/COF) polymeric light gases extensively discussed. Their performances then summarized give further insights regarding pathway that should taken direct research direction future.

Coordination polymers [Gd2(5-iip)3(DMF)4]·0.4DMF (1) and [Dy2(5-iip)3DMF2]·0.33DMF (2) (5-iip2−—5-iodoisophthalate) feature two different structural types, as follows from X-ray diffractometry data. We prepared characterized an extended series of corresponding heterometallic complexes the composition [GdxDy2−x(5-iip)3DMF2]·0.33DMF [EuxDy2−x(5-iip)3DMF2]·0.33DMF, where x = 0.2, 0.4…1.8, examined changes their luminescent properties induced by variations metal composition, finding promising white emission sources with high light purity.
