As a new type of carbon material, graphene oxide aerogel (GA) is widely used in catalysis due to its porous structure, high-efficiency adsorption, and superb conductivity. In this study, GA was prepared into dense coating layer surrounding ZnCo2O4/ZnO particles form composite GA-ZnCo2O4/ZnO by means hydrothermal, blast drying, vacuum-freeze-drying approach applied catalyze the thermal decomposition ammonium perchlorate (AP). The physicochemical properties obtained were characterized different analytical methods. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis exhibited that coated on surface ZnCo2O4/ZnO, forming layer. Brunner Emmet Teller (BET) measurement results show has smooth macropore distribution curve larger specific area. Moreover, catalytic effect investigation AP with GA-ZnCo2O4/ZnO: high temperature (HTD) peak presence 5 wt % reduced from 441 294 °C, exotherm expanded 205 1275 J/g at heating rate 15 °C/min. Through calculation, makes activation energy Gibbs free pyrolysis lower so reaction easier occur. Thermogravimetric-mass (TG-MS) spectrometry revealed during AP, leveraged synergistic boosted flow electrons ClO4- O2 increased absorption gas product accelerate pyrolysis. These provided facile strategy prepare GA-based catalysts extraordinary application prospects domain solid propellants.
