This work suggests an optimal strategy to sort and recycle plastic waste as a renewable energy resource with maximizing economic feasibility mitigating environmental pollution. To derive the sorting recycling strategies of waste, novel optimization model is developed; it calculates overall profit by subtracting from total annualized cost. Then used identify in mixed-integer nonlinear programming that maximizes profit. In derived strategy, high-density polyethylene recycled produce downgrade plastic; low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene are pyrolysis oil; terephthalate refuse fuel. The case can significantly increase about 3,137% (i.e., 35 US$/1 kg plastic), 492% 29 plastic) compared conventional South Korea Japan respectively.

Conventional methods for developing heterogeneous catalysts are inefficient in time and cost, often relying on trial-and-error. The integration of machine-learning (ML) catalysis research using data can reduce computational costs provide valuable insights. However, the lack interpretability black-box models hinders their acceptance among researchers. We propose an interpretable ML framework that enables a comprehensive understanding complex relationships between variables. Our incorporates tools such as Shapley additive explanations partial dependence values effective preprocessing result analysis. This increases prediction accuracy model with improved R2 value 0.96, while simultaneously expanding catalyst component variety. Furthermore, case dry reforming methane, we tested validity recommendation through dedicated experimental tests. outstanding performance has potential to expedite rational design catalysts.

In an liquefied natural gas (LNG) power plant, the amine scrubbing and CO2 liquefaction process are generally employed for capture storage (CCS) because it is suitable large-scale plants. However, a large amount of hot cold energy required absorption, regeneration liquefaction. As solution, waste LNG from regasification combined cycle (NGCC), which disposed into seawater, can be recovered utilized abovementioned purposes. Hence, this study suggested novel recovery plants CCS. The model consists following four steps: regasification, cycle, model, at lean cooler in each heat exchanger process. Furthermore, regeneration, NGCC stripper reboiler. exergy economic analyses were addressed to evaluate feasibility conversion proposed result, compared base process, net generation efficiency increased by 16% 8%, respectively. addition, profit 75%, indicating high feasibility. overall using observed increase, resulted decreased fuel usage. Therefore, we believe that approach contribute significantly improvements environmental protection efforts.

Numerous industries are facing serious environmental contamination, because of the significant emission nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur dioxides (SO2), and carbon dioxide (CO2) it has become imperative to reduce these gaseous emissions. To pollution caused by emissions, desalination wastewater is possible be used contains highly concentrated useful mineral ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ which react with carbonate, nitrogen, sulfate ions. This work designed integrated NOx, SO2, CO2 capture utilization processes using for cleaner production. design integrate process, a process model developed based on validated experimental data. The proposed comprises following three steps: (1) electrolysis metal ion separation produce NaOH, Mg(OH)2, Ca(OH)2; (2) NOx SO2 via (3) Mg(OH)2 Ca(OH)2. Then economic feasibility suggested demonstrated compared conventional assessment. As result, captured utilized at about 90% 99% respectively. In addition, 91% conversion yields each carbonate 63% demonstrate two cases set. Plastic waste has become a severe threat to the environment as increasing amounts of plastic are generated every year. To solve this problem, it is crucial increase recycling rate with proper sorting and processes. However, costs vary depending on specific process, CO2 inevitably during recycling. Therefore, study developed novel multiobjective optimization model based mixed-integer nonlinear programming optimize processes according target polymer types while maximizing net profit minimizing emissions. Recycling solutions were proposed using nondominated genetic algorithm, which enabled selection portfolio methods for each type importance two objectives: maximum minimum total As result, Pareto-optimal distribution 35–1936 million USD/year emissions 9.7–17.0 kt/year obtained. A naphtha-cracking furnace converts naphtha to ethylene (EL) and propylene (PL); the yields depend on coil outlet temperature (COT) composition. However, determining optimal COT for maximizing net profit is difficult because product price its composition fluctuate frequently. Moreover, CO2 emissions increase inevitably with increasing profit, which requires taking environmental aspects into account. Hence, this study proposes a multiobjective optimization model cracking by considering incompatible goals: maximization of minimization emissions. First, deep neural network (DNN)-based developed predict EL yield, PL given using 783 industrial data points. Second, combined nondominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) obtain Pareto front various solutions. Finally, case studies are conducted different prices: was more expensive than in 2018; 2019; had similar prices 2020. For these three cases, actual applied model, solutions proposed. The representative each exhibit 5.35–6.14% higher profits 12.81–15.34% lower those data. proposed can help decision-makers providing flexible options modification production parameters, including regulations.
