In the past seven years, dual Z-scheme heterojunctions evolved as favorable approaches for enhanced charge carrier separation through direct or indirect transfer transportation mechanisms. As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, tetracycline (TC) has been continually detected in soil and seawater environments, which poses great threat to the ecological environment human health. Herein, black graphitic carbon nitride (CN-B) photocatalyst was synthesized by one-step calcination method of urea phloxine B for degradation TC under visible light irradiation. The experimental results showed that photocatalytic rate optimal CN-B-0.1 92% at room temperature within 2 h, 1.3 times pure CN (69%). This excellent performance stems from following factors: (i) ultrathin nanosheet thickness reduces charge transfer distance; (ii) cyanogen defect promotes photogenerated carriers’ separation; (iii) photothermal effect CN-B increases reaction enhances activity. study provides new insight into design photocatalysts photothermal-assisted antibiotic pollutants.
