This review presents an exhaustive overview on the mechanisms of Fe3+ cathodic reduction within context electro-Fenton (EF) process. Different strategies developed to improve rate are discussed, dividing them into two categories that regard mechanistic feature is promoted: electron transfer control and mass transport control. Abstract In the global ecosystem, wetlands are vital carbon sinks, playing a crucial role in absorbing greenhouse gases such as dioxide and mitigating warming. Accurate estimation of wetland content is essential for research on sinks. Complex interactions between plants and microorganisms form the basis of constructed wetlands (CWs) for pollutant removal. In rhizosphere, radial oxygen loss (ROL) plays a key role in activity abundance functional microorganisms. However, little has been done to explore how ROL would influence niche differentiation microbial communities at different vertical spatial scales. We demonstrate that decreases with depth, promoting an oxidation-reduction rhizosphere microecosystem CWs. The high level upper layer could support supply aerobic bacteria (Haliangium), facilitating COD (60%) NH4+-N (50%) removal, whereas enrichment denitrifiers (e.g., Hydrogenophaga Ralstonia) methanotrophs (Methanobaterium) lower stimulate denitrification. function prediction results further certified genes catalyzing nitrifying denitrification processes were significantly enhanced bottom layers, respectively, which was attributed concentration gradient rhizosphere.
