There
is
a
rising
interest
in
bioethanol
production
from
lignocellulose
such
as
corn
stover
to
decrease
the
need
for
fossil
fuels,
but
most
research
mainly
focuses
on
how
improve
ethanol
yield
and
pays
less
attention
biorefinery
of
stover.
To
realize
utilization
different
components
this
study,
pretreatment
strategies
were
used
fractionate
while
enhancing
enzymatic
digestibility
cellulosic
production.
It
was
found
that
process
combining
dilute
acid
(DA)
alkaline
sodium
sulfite
(ASS)
could
effectively
three
main
stover,
i.e.,
cellulose,
hemicellulose,
lignin,
xylose
recovery
reached
93.0%,
removal
rate
lignin
85.0%.
After
joint
DA
ASS,
conversion
cellulose
at
72
h
hydrolysis
85.4%,
concentration
48.5
g/L
through
fed-batch
semi-simultaneous
saccharification
fermentation
(S-SSF)
when
final
substrate
18%
(w/v).
Pretreatment
with
ammonium
resulted
83.8%
removal,
86.6%
50
after
S-SSF,
respectively.

results

Hydrolysis
is
a
key
process
in
the
biorefining
of
biomass
into
chemicals
and
materials
necessary
for
sustainable
circular
economy.
Currently,
significant
technical
economic
challenges
exist,
limiting
its
commercial
viability.
However,
improvement
scale-up
can
be
costly
time-consuming
due
to
non-Newtonian
rheology
high
solid
loading
slurries,
which
change
over
time
as
hydrolysis
reaction
progresses,
leading
complex
mixing
mass/heat
transfer
behaviors.
Computation
Fluid
Dynamics
(CFD)
has
potential
powerful
tool
improving
hydrolysis.
By
utilizing
experimental
rheological
data,
digital
twin
slurry-reactor
system
could
simulated,
thereby
allowing
impact
varying
different
reactor
designs
operational
parameters
assessed
at
reduced
costs.
The
number
studies
CFD
modeling
been
rapidly
growing
past
decade.
Although
many
still
utilize
single-phase
steady-state
simulations,
more
recent
have
applied
increasingly
models,
including
transient
multiphase
conditions,
even
enzyme
kinetic
model
coupling.
Elucidation
from
design,
geometry,
on
success
factors
such
homogeneity,
power
consumption,
productivity
greatly
enhanced
by
CFD.
Nevertheless,
this
area
study
nascent
stage,
with
future
work
improve
upon
feedstock
variety,
complexity,
studied
parameters,
use
extracted
results.
Further
development
will
enable
better
commercialization
industrial
biotechnological
endeavors.

Lactic
acid
is
a
versatile
chemical
with
wide
range
of
industrial
applications,
including
food
additives
as
well
the
production
biodegradable
plastics,
pharmaceuticals
and
cosmetics.

produced
through
carbohydrate
fermentation
using
various
microorganisms,
lactic
bacteria
(LAB).
However,
high
cost
commercial
media
for
raises
concerns
among
researchers.
Consequently,
there

research

Malaysia,
particularly
in

palm,

reduction.

review
discusses
potential
Malaysian
rice

production.
The

applications.
