A significant amount of Mandarin Wastewater is generated in the production canned mandarin segments. To best our knowledge, efficiency membranes to recover phenolic compounds present has never been studied before. Acid whey (AW), a by-product from the production of acidified dairy products, contains high amounts lactic acid and minerals that can be recovered by electrodialysis (ED). To better understand process improve its efficiency, objective this study was to investigate fouling ion-exchange membranes (IEMs) during ED AW concentrated reverse osmosis (ROAW), underlimiting (ULCD), limiting (LCD) overlimiting current density operating conditions (OLCD). The structure, hydrophobicity, chemical composition showed differences regarding on anion- (AEM) cation- (CEM) exchange facing diluate concentrate, both for ROAW.
