Abstract In this work, vanadium pentoxide (V 2 O 5 ) nanoparticles-filled electrospun polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) nanofibers were investigated systematically at various nanofiller weight percentages (8 and 10 wt%) input intensities to reveal the effective optical limiting feature in visible spectrum. XRD analysis demonstrated purity of produced V nanoparticles. According SEM findings, nanoparticles effectively integrated into PVP nanofibers. Two distinct absorption bands observed around 400 217 nm. These related linear measurements, respectively. Moreover, an increased Urbach energy value was obtained with increase content within PVP. Open-aperture Z-scan measurements taken 532 nm considering band gap nanofillers composite 8 wt% nanofilled nanofibers, one-photon (OPA) main nonlinear (NA) mechanism, defect states had no contribution NA. On other hand, sequential two-photon NA caused more efficient behavior The for nanofiber lower threshold as 1.49 × –5 J/cm . presented strong potential limiters wavelength region. This attributed their high transmittance low robust higher intensities.
