Llzto Crosslinks Form a Highly Stretchable Self-Healing Network for Fast Healable All-Solid Lithium Metal Batteries DOI

Flexible composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) show great potentials in high-energy all-solid-state lithium metal batteries owing to their easy fabrication, good electrochemical properties, and high safety. However, it remains challenging achieve interfacial compatibility between the inorganic fillers polymer matrix, which affects lithium-ion transport efficiency performances of CSEs. Herein, a dynamic crosslinked network with Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0.6O12 (LLZTO) nanoparticles as cross-linking point is proposed for fabrication rapidly self-healing flexible CSE, signed SHENE. The amino groups 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane modified LLZTO behave bridge sites react copolymer 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-g-4-formylbenzoic acid poly (ethylene glycol) methoxy acrylate form imine bonds, effectively connect organic/inorganic interface. Compared traditional physical contact, covalent bonds can not only enhance interaction two phases, but also improve dispersion ceramic nanoparticles. Additionally, reversibility allows enhanced mechanical strength self-repairing capabilities Therefore, Li||Li symmetrical cell assembled SHENE stably cycle 5000 h at 0.05 mA cm−2 25 °C. corresponding Li/SHENE/LiFePO4 full battery exhibits rate performance under various C-rates. Li/SHENE/LFP pouch superior safety abuse conditions. this work provides new ideas uniform CSEs by facile design forming networks.

Thermoset polyurethanes (PUs) have been successfully reprocessed as covalent adaptable networks (CANs) by catalyzing carbamate exchange. Here we extend bond exchange beyond the internal network cross-links to create a dynamic urethane adhesive. Interfacing PU CANs substrates with nucleophilic functional groups creates adhesives capable of reversible transcarbamoylation substrate, which has not demonstrated previously CAN adhesives. Two types thermoset films were synthesized, one containing green catalyst Zr(tmhd)4 and other no catalyst. Although otherwise identical in chemical properties, indicated FT-IR spectroscopy mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), film showed behavior through stress relaxation analysis. When evaluated an adhesive, exhibited self-healing properties retained its adhesive strength for five cycles, is attributed bonding glass substrate. This work expands industrially relevant structural demonstrates their potential value application that presently employs PUs single-use materials.

Thermosetting adhesives are commonly utilized in various applications. However, covalent cross-linked networks prevent thermosetting from being re-assembled, which necessitates higher machining precision. Additionally, the primary raw materials used adhesive preparation derived non-renewable petroleum resources, further constrain development. In this study, a recyclable was developed by incorporating dynamic boronic esters into epoxy resin soybean oil. The successful synthesis of epoxidized oil and confirmed through analysis proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectra differential scanning calorimetry results. Swelling tests tensile curves demonstrated presence covalently networks. Self-healing reprocessing experiments indicated that network topology could be re-assembled under mild conditions.

Developing dynamic epoxy adhesives (DEAs) with simultaneously strong adhesion, extreme environmental tolerance, and on-demand detachability is in high demand the future but remains challenging. In this work, we prepared a robust adhesive cross-linked boroxines, small-molecule coupling agent was introduced to coordinate boroxines improve its reliability. Owing exchangeability of coordination amino group as-developed shows good mechanical properties (tensile strength 53.55 MPa, fracture toughness ∼27.3 MJ m–3), excellent lap shear (20.5 MPa), resistance water (18.8 MPa after soaking for 30 days), pH, low temperatures (20.1 at 100 °C, 27.8 −196 °C), can be quickly removed recycled by specified solvents.
