Utilization of organic community wastes towards deriving sustainable renewable energy and adequate disposal the residual has been an important topic investigation. Anaerobic digestion co-digestion rice-derived food waste animal manure for biogas generation is crucial from view-point consumption. This paper presents extensive review recent contributions in related areas. The critical physico-chemical parameters involved such process are analyzed, including temperature, carbon–nitrogen ratio, microorganisms, pH, substrate characteristics, loading rate, hydraulic retention time, volatile fatty acids, ammonia, light/heavy metal ions. Studies implied that optimum yield production could be achieved only when values exist specific ranges. Few studies highlighted use emerging techniques micro-aerobic system, additives, laser radiation, bio-electrochemical field, among others efficiency enhancement yield. entire study provided a set conclusions future research directives as well proposed.
