Onion-like carbon (OLC) is a kind of material with graphene-like structure and large interlayer spacing, favorable to good lubricating performance. Herein, facile method presented for the preparation functionalized OLC nanoparticles from candle soot surface modification. The are collected combustion burning via simple heat treatment, then zwitterionic polymer (polyethylenimine-quaternized derivative, PEIS) can self-assemble onto epigallocatechin gallate Michael addition Schiff-base reaction, thus obtaining PEIS-functionalized (PEIS@OLC). grafting PEIS endows hydrophilic performance, so as-obtained PEIS@OLC exhibits outstanding dispersion property as water-based lubricant additive. Compared pure water, average coefficient friction decreases 0.110 0.512, corresponding wear volume reduced by 61.02% 1.5 wt % addition. improved mainly due synergetic effect protective film induced tribochemical reaction hydration PEIS. Besides, could also display nanoscale rolling repairing effects at contact interface, resulting in reduction wear.

Abstract Solar energy is a primary form of renewable energy, and photothermal conversion direct process with tunable efficiency. Among various kinds materials, porous organic polymers (POP) are widely investigated owing to their controllable molecular design, tailored structures, good absorption solar light, low thermal conductivity. A variety POP, such as conjugated microporous (CMP), covalent frameworks (COF), hyper‐crosslinked (HCP), intrinsic microporosity (PIM), ionic (PIP), developed applied in applications seawater desalination, latent storage, biomedical fields. Conductive hydrogels have attracted widespread attention in the fields of biomedicine and health monitoring. However, their practical application is severely hindered by lengthy energy-intensive polymerization process weak mechanical properties. Here, a rapid method polyacrylic acid/gelatin double-network organohydrogel designed integrating tannic acid (TA) Ag nanoparticles on conductive MXene nanosheets as catalyst binary solvent water glycerol, requiring no external energy input. The synergistic effect TA NPs maintains dynamic redox activity phenol quinone within system, enhancing efficiency ammonium persulfate to generate radicals, leading 10 min. Also, ternary composite MXene@TA-Ag can act agents, enhanced fillers, adhesion promoters, antibacterial agents organohydrogels, granting them excellent multi-functionality. organohydrogels exhibit stretchability (1740%) high tensile strength (184 kPa). strain sensors based ultrahigh sensitivity (GF = 3.86), low detection limit (0.1%), stability (>1000 cycles, >7 days). These monitor human limb movements, respiratory vocal cord vibration, well various levels arteries. Therefore, this holds potential for applications such monitoring speech recognition.
