Water pollution poses a severe threat to both aquatic ecosystems and human health, highlighting the crucial importance of monitoring regulating its levels in water bodies. In contrast traditional single-treatment approaches, multiple-treatment methods enable simultaneous detection removal pollutants using single material. This innovation not only offers convenience but also fosters more holistic effective approach remediation. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are versatile porous materials that offer significant potential for use wastewater treatment. article examines latest developments application MOFs multifaceted used removal, or degradation contaminants. Some exhibited different functions contaminants, some showed one function (adsorption detection) than contaminant. All multifunctional facilitate multiple treatment real wastewater. Lastly, existing challenges future outlooks concerning MOF addressed this paper.

Disposing wastewater from textile industries and dyes into water bodies has aesthetic effects on the nature of water, it can also cause serious adverse environmental impacts ecosystem by reducing sunlight penetration photosynthetic reactions. Adsorption is one most common methods for removal toxic pollutants due to its easy cheap operation. Using agricultural waste prepare simple adsorbents an alternative method commercial carbons. In this research, a cost-effective adsorbent was fabricated palm leaf during two stages carbonization modification with acid. XRD FTIR analyses were used characterize carbon-based adsorbent. The funding indicated that performance methylene blue at initial concentration 25 mg/L about 99.6% after 60 min reaction solution pH 7. However, highest adsorption capacity 175.6 mg/g achieved dose mg. isotherm kinetics evaluation prepared chemical heterogeneous adsorption. findings present research promise development remove dye compounds industrial near-neutral conditions.

Abstract Carbon dots (CDs) have emerged as versatile fluorescent nanomaterials for diverse applications. The synthesis of CDs from natural products offers a sustainable alternative to chemical methods. This study presents the preparation green (G‐CDs) using seafood mushrooms carbon source and 5‐amino‐2‐methylphenol nitrogen through hydrothermal approach. G‐CDs exhibit maximum excitation/emission peaks at 467/519 nm high quantum yield up 17.2% in ethanol. Additionally, demonstrate excellent photostability, salt tolerance, stability. excitation‐independent emissions suggest presence unique surface‐state luminescent centers. application an anti‐counterfeiting ink is demonstrated. work highlights promise converting food sources into high‐performance CDs, expanding their utility across various domains including biomedicine, sensing, security.
