To realize sustainable development, the application of economical and environmentally friendly biochar, with its carbon sequestration performance, in cement applications has received considerable attention. However, efficacy biochar is limited by physicochemical properties, such as lower strength CaO SiO2 content compared to cement. Consequently, it fails achieve a sufficient reduction effect. Therefore, this study aims enhance mechanical properties composites modifying biochar. Furthermore, incorporating moderate amount modified (1%–3%) not only promotes generation hydration products but also enhances CO2 adsorption owing porous structure filling capacity. Moreover, inclusion 2% (Su-BC, using citric acid tetraethyl orthosilicate) leads notable improvement 19% compressive 3.26% cement-based composites. For result, introduction additional -COOH silyl groups modification without damaging other functional one crucial factors that should be neglected.Additionally, adverse effects on composite resulting from excessive addition are mitigated. Modified exhibits better neutrality original form. appropriately holds promising avenues for advancing innovative, cementitious materials.
