Abstract The synthesis of hydrogen peroxide through artificial photosynthesis is a green and promising technology with advantages in sustainability, economy safety. However, superoxide radical (⋅O 2 − ), an important intermediate photocatalytic oxygen reduction to H O production, has strong oxidizing properties that potentially destabilize the catalyst. Therefore, avoiding accumulation ⋅O for its rapid conversion paramount significance improving catalyst stability yield. In this work, strategy was developed utilize protonated groups depletion converted , thereby efficiency from CN successfully enhanced by 47‐fold. experimental findings demonstrated polydopamine not only improved carrier separation efficiency, more importantly, provided adsorption active site efficient production. This work offers versatile approach synthesizing stable photocatalysts.

Aeration accounts for 35–51% of the overall energy consumption in wastewater treatment processes and results an annual 5–7.5 billion kWh. Herein, a solar-powered continuous-flow device was designed aeration-free situ Fenton-like reactions to treat wastewater. This system is based on combination TiO2–x/W18O49 featuring heterophase oxygen vacancy interactions with floating reduced graphene/polyurethane foam, which produces hydrogen peroxide at rates up 4.2 ppm h–1 degradation more than 90% various antibiotics. The vacancies play important role stretching O–O bond by regulating d-band center TiO2–x/W18O49, promoting hydrogenation *·O2– or *OOH H+ enrichment, accelerating production reactive species spontaneous adsorption peroxide. Furthermore, mechanisms antibiotics actual were thoroughly investigated. In short, study provides meaningful reference potentially undertaking "aeration-free" Fenton reaction, can help reduce even completely eradicate aeration costs requirements during
