Abstract In this study, we prepared Al 2 O 3 -TiO (AT) mixed oxides to synthesize NiW catalysts for sulfur removal reactions. The AT support samples were with various surfactants. Additionally, gallium atoms (2.4 wt%) introduced as an additive coat the outer surface layers of that lacked 3+ or Ti 2+ cations. Characterization results showed substantial differences in textural properties, chemical composition, and acidity. x-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM) demonstrated NiW/AT-L-Ga sample has a better combination dispersion, sulfidation, promotion among materials. sulfided catalyst had highest catalytic activity. After incorporating Ga, XPS observed activity could be associated increase NiWS active phase; however, including surfactant synthesis allowed amount phase. phase was modeled considering HR-TEM slab length, revealing at border susceptible promotion.
