Birefringent crystals with significant optical anisotropy have played a pivotal role in laser technology and scientific research by modulating controlling light polarization. In this study, we successfully synthesized three new birefringent materials mixed-valence antimony, namely, KSb3O6, RbSb3O6, α-Sb2O4, through the introduction of Sb3+ stereochemically active lone pairs (SCALP) to total oxygen system using high-temperature solution method. To best our knowledge, K/RbSb3O6 represents first alkali metal Sb-based oxide. Interestingly, despite their similar sandwich structure, these exhibit vastly different levels birefringence (almost 10 times difference). It is worth noting that α-Sb2O4 demonstrates largest experimental (0.201 at 546 nm) among non-π-conjugated oxides date, which can be attributed synergistic effect SCALP group distortion arrangement. These findings hold valuable implications for guiding future efforts designing synthesizing large materials.

This study successfully prepared MIL-101(Fe)@MoS2 composite photocatalysts via hydrothermal methods to address the efficient removal of refractory organic dyes in dye wastewater. Characterization using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed that molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) was uniformly loaded onto surface MIL-101(Fe), forming a heterojunction significantly enhanced light absorption capacity charge separation efficiency. In visible-light-driven photo-Fenton system, this material exhibited excellent degradation performance for Congo red (CR). At an initial CR concentration 50 mg/L, catalyst dosage 0.2 g/L, 4 mL added H2O2, pH 7, completely degraded within 30 min, with total carbon (TOC) reaching 72.5%. The maintained high efficiency (>90%) across range 3–9, overcoming traditional Fenton system’s dependency on acidic media. Radical-trapping experiments indicated superoxide radicals (·O2−) photogenerated holes (·h+) were primary active species responsible degradation, revealing synergistic catalytic mechanism at interface. Recyclability tests showed retained 90.8% after five cycles, photoelectron (XPS) analysis demonstrated stable binding Fe Mo, preventing secondary pollution. provides scientific basis developing efficient, stable, wide-pH adaptable systems, contributing advancement green water treatment technologies.

The degradation characteristics of aniline and antimony in printing dyeing wastewater during the micro-oxygenated hydrolytic acidification process its effect on COD ammonia nitrogen removal were investigated this experiment. Firstly, effects control factors such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), sludge concentration hydrolysis section optimized. It was recommended that pH value should be maintained at 6.5; low DO (0–0.5 mg/L) could assist conversion for subsequent treatment; optimum treatment temperature 25 °C; finally, it controlled 4 mg/L operation. Secondly, investigated. found when increased from 0.4 to 5.4 mg/L, effluent by 96.5%, which indicated toxic anaerobic obviously inhibited COD. When 0.05 2.05 rate only 2.9%, much lower than water samples with no added. decreased 5.58 g/L 3.44 g/L, had a strong inhibitory activity bacteria inversely affected removal.
