This study investigates the fabrication of large-area, highly-ordered monolayers PbTe quantum dots (QDs) on TiO 2 /ITO substrate, using a fast, simple, and repeatable spin-coating technique. For first time, real monolayer (a layer with height single QD) covering approximately 3 cm was successfully prepared, achieving root-mean-square roughness (Rq) 1.37 nm. The research systematically explores key parameters such as QD morphology, concentration, conditions, substrate characteristics, wetting properties, solvent effects to optimize thin film deposition. findings reveal that method favors formation layers spherical QDs (6–9 nm) over cubical (10–13 nm). highlight significant influence evaporation rate, viscosity, wettability quality. Chloroform identified optimal for (~90% coverage), while hexane more effective (90%-100% coverage). Beyond monolayers, high-quality bilayers were also fabricated, demonstrating method’s potential multilayer fabrication. rapid efficient bilayer marks breakthrough in producing uniform, large-area films, facilitating seamless integration existing technologies.
