Flammability is a significant challenge in polymer-based strain sensing applications. In addition, the existing intrinsic flame retardant not elastic at room temperature, which may potentially damage flexible equipment. This study presents series of flame-retardant ionic conductive elastomers (ICEs) (denoted as PCAIPx) containing phosphorus from phytic acid (PA) and nitrogen choline chloride (ChCl) with multiple hydrogen bonds synthesized using simple efficient one-pot UV-initiated radical copolymerization polymerizable deep eutectic solvent (PDES). The limiting oxygen index (LOI) value increased 24.1% for pure PCAI without PA to 38.3% PCAIP7.5. SEM analysis residual char shows that formation dense continuous layer effectively worked shield, preventing further decomposition undecomposed polymer inside while hindering transmission heat mass isolating required combustion. bonds’ cross-linked structure phosphorus-containing elastomer demonstrate superior elasticity (elongation break up 2109%), durability, tear resistance excellent adhesive properties.
