Directly degrading the dyes in wastewater is a missed opportunity. Herein, we propose solution employing microfluidic chip to construct photocatalytic fuel cell (PFC) system, which can efficiently degrade tetracycline while generating electricity simultaneously under visible-light irradiation. This approach utilizes photogenerated electrons from dye Rhodamine B (RhB), are effectively transferred through gold layer activate persulfate water, leading enhanced degradation. Experimental results reveal that within one hour of reaction duration, degradation efficiency PFC system was doubled. At (PS) concentration 2 mM, system’s open-circuit voltage and short-circuit photocurrent density reached 0.26 V 0.00239 mA·cm−2 respectively, both exceeding values detected at 0.5 mM PS. Additionally, power triple Notably, when PS elevated witnessed significant boost 35.16% 60.78%. proffers novel tactic for harnessing waste via devices. The accomplishes not only antibiotics but also generation electrical energy, substantially enhancing energy utilization efficiency.
