The relationship between the gut microbiota and infertility has garnered increasing attention. However, associations dietary index for (DI-GM), an indicator of microbial diversity, remain insufficiently explored. We analyzed data from 3,058 participants in NHANES 2013-2020 cycles, employing weighted generalized linear models smooth curve analyses to examine their associations. Mediation analysis was conducted assess role body mass (BMI). After adjusting confounding factors, a higher DI-GM score significantly associated with lower prevalence (OR = 0.89, 95% CI 0.81-0.98, p 0.029). Compared individuals 0-3, those ≥6 presented 0.64, 0.43-0.96, 0.039). BMI mediated 5.98% association infertility. A is Future studies should employ longitudinal designs validate these findings.

ABSTRACT Microbial communities are often complex and highly diverse, typically with dozens of species sharing spatially‐restricted environments. Within these species, genetic ecological variation exists at a much finer scale, closely related strains coexisting competing. While the coexistence in has been heavily explored over past two decades, we have no self‐consistent theory how this diversity is maintained. This question challenges our conventional understanding coexistence, framed around clear phenotypic differences. In review, synthesise plausible mechanisms underlying strain‐level (termed microdiversity), focusing on niche‐based such as nutrient competition, neutral migration, evolutionary horizontal gene transfer. We critically assess strengths caveats mechanisms, acknowledging key gaps that persist linking similarity to divergence. Finally, highlight origin maintenance microdiversity could pose major challenge thinking. articulate call‐to‐arms for dialogue between well‐designed experiments new theoretical frameworks address grand conceptual microbial biodiversity.

Plant-derived natural products are commonly consumed orally and can be structurally modified by the gut microbiota, potentially altering their biological activity. However, high-throughput studies on microbial metabolism remain limited. This study applied an in vitro screening system for microbiome-derived using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to analyze of 200 human successfully annotated 118 metabolized microbiota. For first time, metabolic reactions isorhynchophylline wilforgine intestine were documented. Notably, a substantial increase plasma concentration isocorynoxeine was observed microbiota-colonized rats following administration compared those without colonization, suggesting that dehydrogenation microbiota also occurs vivo. 16S rRNA gene sequencing further revealed increased abundance Klebsiella Escherichia-Shigella administration, these genera may influence its transformation or pharmacological

To investigate the association between dietary microbes intake and sedentary behavior with mortality risk in hypertensive adults United States. This study uses data from individuals included National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 1999 to 2018. The relationship live-microbe intake, time, among is preliminarily explored using Kaplan-Meier curves. Cox proportional hazards models are employed analyze associations separately jointly, followed by subgroup analyses sensitivity analysis assess model stability. enrolled 10,036 participants hypertension, whom 1599 deaths occurred, including 512 cardiovascular disease-related deaths. Initial curve revealed that both low of live prolonged time had significantly higher risk. Subsequent demonstrated high microbial combined reduced were associated lower patients.
