To address this, this study collected 16 varieties (lines), identifying IpHT1 as promising parent due to its oil content (38.5%) and red fruits. Polyploid induction via adding 0.50% colchicine Murashige Skoog (MS) medium yielded 520 mutagenized seedlings. Subsequently, flow cytometry (FCM) was performed on 401 morphologically variant seedlings which had been initially screened, resulting in the identification of 15 suspected triploids, 35 tetraploids, 3 chimeras. Furthermore, fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) analysis found that probe (AG

Plant-derived oils provide 20%-35% of dietary calories and are a primary source essential omega-6 (linoleic) omega-3 (α-linolenic) fatty acids. While traditional breeding has significantly increased yields in key oilseed crops like soybean, sunflower, canola, peanut, cottonseed, overall gains have plateaued over the past few decades. Oilseed also experience substantial yield losses both prime marginal agricultural areas due to biotic abiotic stresses shifting agro-climates. Recent genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomics research expanded our understanding genetic physiological control acid biosynthesis composition. This study explored the potential of ultrasonic-assisted three-phase partitioning (UTPP) to simultaneously extract lipids, proteins, and polysaccharides from Idesia polycarpa Maxim (IPM) cake meal, a significant byproduct oil extraction. The impact variables such as inorganic salt type, solid-liquid ratio, concentration, pH, ultrasonic time, temperature, volume dimethyl carbonate was examined. Based on single-factor tests response surface methodology (RSM), optimal conditions were identified 30 % ammonium citrate, 1:26 pH 3, 31 min °C 15 mL carbonate. These achieved extraction rates 8.10 for 5.03 10.03 polysaccharides, with recovery 91.62 %, 83.08 93.95 respectively. Chemical analysis showed lipid fraction rich in linoleic acid, protein high glutamic aspartate, serine. polysaccharide fraction, mainly RG-I pectin molecular weight 226.58 kDa, exhibited strong thermal stability inhibitory effects α-glucosidase glycation, suggesting functional food dietary supplement applications. highlights UTPP sustainable method effectively utilizing valuable compounds IPM outperforming traditional techniques.

ABSTRACT Eleocharis vivipara , an amphibious sedge in the Cyperaceae family, has several remarkable properties, most notably its alternate use of C 3 photosynthesis underwater and 4 on land. However, absence genomic data hindered utility for evolutionary genetic research. Here, we present a high‐quality genome E. representing first chromosome‐level genus, with approximate size 965.22 Mb mainly distributed across 10 chromosomes. Its Hi–C pattern, chromosome clustering results, one‐to‐one synteny two subgroups indicates tetraploid structure count 2 n = x 20. Phylogenetic analysis suggests that diverged from Cyperus esculentus approximately 32.96 million years ago (Mya), underwent whole‐genome duplication (WGD) about 3.5 Mya. Numerous fusion fission events were identified between chromosomes close relatives. We demonstrate holocentromeres, chromosomal feature which can maintain stability such rearrangements. Experimental transplantation cross‐section studies showed terrestrial culms developed Kranz anatomy increased number chloroplasts bundle sheath (BS) cells. Gene expression weighted gene co‐expression network (WGCNA) overall elevated core genes associated pathway, significant enrichment related to modified culm efficiency. found evidence mixed nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ‐ malic enzyme phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase type hypothesize evolution predates WGD event. The is dominated by subgenome A supplemented B. Collectively, our findings not only shed light karyotype within but also provide valuable insights into transition photosynthesis, offering promising avenues crop improvement breeding.

Idesia polycarpa Maxim. is valued for its high oil yield, which fruit has content and good health effects. However, the large amount of unsaturated fatty acids in easily oxidized, storage intolerance seriously restricted marketing. In order to slow down oxidation rate oil, this study found that most effective single antioxidant was rosemary extract through screening seven different natural antioxidants. The experiments were designed using response surface method compound three individual antioxidants with anti-oxidative effects, namely extract, tea polyphenol palmitate, ascorbic acid palmitate. A comprehensive model established determine optimal formulation, be 0.45 g/kg +0.21 effectiveness best compounded under simulated frying temperature (160 °C) then examined. results showed capacity formulation significantly increased, generation secondary products inhibited loss reduced. Therefore, antioxidant-added not only resistance, but also improved safety use environment. oxidative stability provided a theoretical basis replacing synthetic antioxidants, promoted industrial development expanded other applications.

Background/Objectives: The oil grape (Idesia polycarpa), often called the “golden tree”, is an essential woody plant valued for its edible oil. Although economic significance recognized, specifics of chloroplast genome and evolutionary connections remain unclear. This study sequenced I. polycarpa performed a comparative analysis structure, genetic diversity, phylogenetics using data from related species. Methods: In this study, we annotated whole via GISEQ-500 sequencing de novo assembly. Results: exhibits typical tetrad with length 155,899 bp GC content 36.78%. It comprises 130 unique genes, including 85 coding 37 tRNAs, eight rRNAs, showing notable conservation in gene composition arrangement compared to closely However, inverted repeat region boundaries are narrower. Phylogenetic showed strong relationships among polycarpa, Bennettiodendron brevipes, Poliothyrsis sinensis, Itoa orientalis, Carrierea calycina within Salicaceae family. Additionally, positive selection revealed that rpl16, ycf1, rps18, rpl22 under significant selective pressure species, likely linked adaptations photosynthesis environmental responses. Conclusions: research provides vital molecular foundations conservation, classification, enhancement germplasm resources, advancing adaptive mechanisms broadening genomic database polycarpa.

Abstract The evolution of sex chromosomes can involve recombination suppression sometimes involving structural changes, such as inversions, allowing subsequent rearrangements, including inversions and gene transpositions. In the two major genus Salix clades, Vetrix, almost all species are dioecious, sex-linked regions have evolved on chromosome 7 15, with either male or female heterogamety. We used conformation capture (Hi-C) PacBio HiFi (high-fidelity) reads to assemble chromosome-level, gap-free X Y from both S. triandra (15XY system), a basal in Vetrix clade, clade mesnyi (7XY system). Combining these other available genome assemblies, we found within regions, which likely be pericentromeric probably recombined rarely ancestral species, before sex-linkage evolved. Y-linked 15XY 7XY include partial duplicates containing exon 1 an ARR17-like similar male-determining factors Salicaceae species. also Y-specific gene, named MSF. derived systems appear when genes transposed 15Y 7Y. Additionally, 7Y dunnii chaenomeloides 7X transposition, loss suggest that recombine infrequently may facilitate linkage.

To study the quality characteristics of Idesia polycarpa fruit oil (IPFO) samples under varying phenotypic traits and their differences, three typical fruits same cultivar were compared, both morphologically chemically. The results revealed that highest water content (51.90 %) occurred in small red (RID-S), (20.63 was obtained large yellow (YID). A total 532 aroma compounds identified via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), with terpenes as major contributors. fatty acid composition dominated by linoleic (LA), palmitic oleic acid, LA (RID-B) (1633.25-1807.21 μg/mL), whereas contents YID (863.72-976.70 μg/mL 505.96-604.04 μg/mL, respectively). I. varied according to its characteristics, RID-B an excellent cultivar, followed RID-S.
