Abstract Acinetobacter baumannii ( A. ) is a major multidrug-resistant pathogen, posing serious threats in the healthcare settings. This study provides comprehensive genomic analysis of nosocomial whole-genome sequences retrieved from NCBI Genome database. Multilocus sequence typing and capsule were performed to investigate clonal diversity. The genomes characterized identify antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs), virulence factors, mobile genetic elements. Further, pangenome was conducted examine core accessory . Our dataset comprised 609 deposited diverse geographic regions worldwide between 2004 2024. showed high heterogeneity, with type ST2 being predominant type. A total 185 unique ARGs identified, majority them associated efflux pump β-lactamase coding genes. Over 25,000 IS elements detected, IS4 family prevalent High abundance integron-mediated determinants, especially for aminoglycosides β-lactams, identified. open window due its larger genome suggested substantial plasticity. findings highlight ’s rapid evolution potential, emphasizing need alternative therapeutic strategies. Enhanced surveillance, infection control measures, stewardship are crucial combat this persistent threat.
