TiO2 is a low-cost and biocompatible material with high oxidizing ability. However, their photocatalytic activity limited to UV light irradiation. In this research, for the first time, novel TiO2/CeFeO3 heterojunction was synthesized by green synthesis method using an aqueous fraction of Artemisia vulgaris leaf extracts. shows enhanced performance under visible The vibrational, structural, optical, compositional properties were characterized. as-prepared has spherical-shaped particles significantly diminished bandgap energy (3.25 eV 2.75 eV). investigated degrade malachite (MG) efficiency up 93.53% its optimum dose. stable until fourth cycle. kinetics photodegradation MG followed pseudo-first-order reaction rate constant (kapp) 2.14×10−2 min−1. attributable creation heterojunction, which suppresses recombination photogenerated electron-hole validated photoluminescence analysis. This work presents eco-friendly approach synthesizing dye degradation.
